Get ready for the FSPCA Feline Fair!!!

Stop by the FSPCA on Sunday, August 9th from 12-4 and meet our sweet cats and kittens!

Adoption fees are $40. This amount is applied toward the spay/neuter of the cat or kitten - you will receive a certificate for $40 to use toward the cost. Adopters must agree to spay/neuter the animal at his/her own vet and pay the difference. Essentially, your new feline friend is FREE!
Contact us at 434-591-0123 or director@fspca.org with any question. To see the adorable cats and kittens up for adoption, visit www.fspca.org. See you on the 9th!

2 handsome brothers need a home

Little Sherman and his brother Peabody (black kitten pictured) are as sweet and playful as kittens can be. They are ready for homes of their own, and will make wonderful companions. Would you like to add one or both of these boys to your family?

If you aren't able to adopt, please consider making a donation to our medical fund so we can take care of our cats. The FSPCA is a 501(c) organization so every donation is tax-deductible.

Please help Jim Bo and Brock

Jim Bo is a white and tan hound mix and is approximately three years old. Brock is a harrier/treeing walker coonhound mix who loves going for walks.

Both of these sweet dogs are heartworm positive and need treatment. Would you consider making a donation toward their medical bills? With faces like this, how can you resist?

If you would like to make a donation, please go to our website at www.fspca.org or contact us at (434) 591-0123.

Good news from Skye!

Hi everyone. I wanted to let everyone know how excited I am to be in my new home! As the longest cat resident at the shelter, my heart would break watching my friends get adopted and go to their forever homes. But now it is my turn! I found a family that is so excited to pet me and give me a lot of love. I will miss my cat friends and the staff who have taken such good care of me but I am ready to be in a home.

Update on Lucille (now known as Ruby)

As you can see, Ruby is having the time of her life! Her mom says that Ruby is getting used to the city noise from cars, trains, trucks, and runners very quickly. She hardly turns her head at any of these but squirrels will get all four of her feet off the ground! Ruby is also learning to walk well and loves car rides in her crate.

The picture to the left shows Ruby and her "brother" and they love being together. Ruby also has a bigger and younger "boyfriend" next door who she played very well with - future play dates will occur after her spay stitches have healed for a few more days.

We are so excited to know that Ruby has found such a good home!

Celebrate the 4th with us!

Who doesn't love a parade? Come to Scottsville on Saturday, July 4th, and cheer on our parade walkers. Beginning at 10 AM, several SPCA dogs will be strutting their stuff down Main Street. They will then be hanging out at the 4PAWS store in the Food Lion shopping center. Stop by and say hello!

This is also a great time to check out 4PAWS, the FSPCA thrift store. The store has a lot of great bargains and all proceeds go to the FSPCA.
